What operators say

The people who actually run these systems, in their own words.

  • Adaptix replaced a stack of spreadsheets and WhatsApp messages we were using to keep our fleet moving. Tailormade Tech handled the setup themselves and trained our team, so we never lost a day to the transition. Trip coordination that used to eat up our mornings now takes minutes.

  • I manage IT across 20 shops, and before Tailormade Tech I was reacting to outages after the calls came in. Now I see issues before the stores do. Backups, server health, peripheral status, all in one place. It has shifted my whole job from firefighting to keeping things running.

  • Fuel tracking, driver check-ins, service schedules, PDP expiries. All of it used to live in spreadsheets I could not trust. Tailormade Tech put it in one place and I finally know what is going on in the fleet day to day.

Why tailor-made?

Built by a senior engineer, end to end.

Every system on this site was designed, built, and is currently maintained by the same person. No handoffs, no offshore black-boxes, no junior project manager between you and the code.

Production systems, not prototypes.

These are not demos. Real money flows through Famous Recon every day. Real vehicles are tracked through Adaptix. Real users open Whizplan in regulated industries. Patients book through JVR Practice. Each system has been in production for months or years.

Tailored to your operation, not retrofitted from SaaS.

SaaS solves the problems most people have. Your operation is not most people. We build the systems that fit how your business actually works, then evolve them as you do.

How we work

Two paths depending on whether you need an existing platform or a custom build.

Existing Platforms

Onboarding to one of our existing systems.

  1. Step 1: Discovery call.

We learn your current workflow, your pain points, and confirm the platform fits.

  2. Step 2: Hands-on setup in your business.

We do the configuration, data import, and integration work ourselves so your team is not learning the system in a vacuum.

  3. Step 3: Active onboarding.

We sit with your team, train them on real workflows, and stay close while you ramp up. Zero transition pain is the goal.

New Projects

Custom systems built from scratch.

  1. Step 1: Discovery conversation.

We understand the problem and confirm a custom build is the right answer.

  2. Step 2: Scoping and architecture.

A small scoping fee covers the architecture and project definition work. You leave this phase with a clear blueprint regardless of whether you continue.

  3. Step 3: Formal pitch.

We present development cost, timeline, delivery milestones, and the ongoing monthly fee.

  4. Step 4: Build and partner.

We work as a long-term technology partner. You get a team that knows your business, keeps the system evolving with you, and is invested in your operations running well. In return we ask for an ongoing monthly relationship rather than a one-off build, which is why our build costs come in well below traditional agencies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about customized software, business systems, and mobile apps — answered by a South African software developer.

Why should I choose customized software over a cheaper off-the-shelf app?
Off-the-shelf software solves the average problem. If your operation is genuinely average, SaaS works. But the businesses that come to us share a pattern: spreadsheets glue the gaps, staff time absorbs the friction, and the operation has outgrown what any single SaaS tool can solve. Customized software is the right call when the cost of working around SaaS exceeds the cost of building systems that fit your business.
Are you a South African software developer? Do you work with clients outside South Africa?
Yes. TailorMadeTech is a South African software developer based in South Africa, building customized software, business systems, and mobile apps for clients locally and abroad. Discovery calls, scoping, and delivery happen remotely, so location is rarely a constraint.
Do you build mobile apps as well as web systems?
Yes. We build mobile apps for iOS and Android alongside the systems they connect to — driver apps for logistics fleets, field-staff apps, franchisee and customer apps. Mobile apps and the web-based system behind them are designed together, so data, auth, and workflows stay consistent end to end.
Is your security really enterprise-grade?
We build on Supabase, which runs on AWS and GCP with Row-Level Security at the database layer and TLS in transit. Your data is isolated by tenant via RLS policies. The same pattern is used by regulated SaaS platforms globally. Specific deployment details available on request.
What does the ROI actually look like?
Depends on your operation. For QSR franchisees, automated daily reconciliation across 20+ outlets has eliminated more than 20 hours of manual back-office work per week. For logistics fleets, predictive maintenance scheduling (tire rethreading at the 4mm sweet spot, for example) can save R30,000 to R50,000 per vehicle per year on a 20-vehicle fleet, modelled. We model your specific case during the discovery call.
Will my team need a manual to use the systems and mobile apps?
No. We automate the boring stuff behind the scenes so your managers can focus on the business. If they can use WhatsApp, they can use our systems and mobile apps.
What happens after the discovery call?
Depending on the track, we either begin hands-on setup of an existing platform, or provide a scoping architecture phase for customized software builds. You receive a clear breakdown of your operational leaks, the systems and mobile apps needed, and the projected ROI.
